Official Rules of Travelers Rest Speedway
Travelers Rest Speedway maintains a comprehensive set of rules to ensure fair competition, safety, and an enjoyable experience for all participants and fans.
General Conduct
Respect and Sportsmanship:
All competitors, teams, and fans must show respect for one another, officials, and the facility.
Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and may result in penalties or disqualification.

Alcohol and Substance Policy:
The use of alcohol or illegal substances is strictly prohibited in the pits and on the premises. Violators may face immediate disqualification and further action.
Racing Rules
Eligibility:
All drivers must possess a valid racing license and meet age requirements specific to each racing class.
Vehicles must adhere to class specifications outlined by the speedway.
Vehicle Safety:
All cars must be equipped with necessary safety features, including seat belts, roll cages, and fire suppression systems.
Drivers are required to wear helmets, fire suits, and other protective gear during races.

Technical Inspections:
All vehicles are subject to pre-race and post-race inspections to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
Non-compliance may result in penalties, including disqualification.
Race Procedures
Starting Procedure:
Races will begin with a designated starting signal. Drivers must follow instructions from race officials regarding lineup and starts.
Jumping the start may result in penalties.
Cautions and Restarts:
Caution flags will be used to signal dangerous situations. Drivers must slow down and maintain their positions.
Restarts will follow specific procedures as outlined by the officials.
Scoring:
Results are based on the order of finish across the designated laps. Scoring will be conducted by official timers and scorers.
Points System
1. Winner receives 25 points per race. (Points will be awarded to driver only)
2. Any car protested and found illegal will forfeit all points for the night. No points will be awarded to a driver if for any reason driver is DQ’ed.
3. If a tie for a position were to happen, the tie would be broken in the following way. (A) Most wins, (B) Most top 5 finishes, (C) Most top 10 finishes
4. If a tie still exists, the money for the position and the following position will be divided equally.
5. Double point races will be announced in advance.
Any car/driver running heat and cannot make the start of the main gets 20 points
Any driver taking the initial green flag in main event will be considered starting the main event. No points races will be dropped
Penalties and Disqualification
Infractions:
Penalties may be imposed for rule violations, including but not limited to aggressive driving, unsportsmanlike conduct, and safety violations.
The severity of penalties will be determined by officials based on the nature of the infraction.
Appeals:
Teams may appeal penalties through a formal process outlined by the speedway. Appeals must be submitted within a specified timeframe.
Community and Environmental Responsibility
Cleanliness:
Participants must maintain cleanliness in the pit areas and throughout the facility. Littering or improper disposal of waste will not be tolerated.
Noise and Conduct:
Excessive noise and disruptive behavior in the pits or grandstands are prohibited. All participants are expected to adhere to community standards.
